Restaurant mother is known for its trademark sourdough pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven. The oven is and also symbolizes “the heart” of the restaurant. Since the restaurant opened its doors for the first time in 2010, it has since grown immensely popular both locally as well as outside of Denmark for its approachable, organic quality food. In September 2016, mother Restaurant took its “good food for everyone” approach a step further by introducing an even healthier and tastier way of making pizza dough by using purified seawater instead of regular water and salt.

mother has an opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to join our management team here in Copenhagen.

You will have at least 2-3 years of experience, preferably in a similarly busy and fast-paced environment. You will need to positively enjoy the pressure this brings to the role – the multi-tasking involved in running a busy restaurant, managing bookings and a waiting list, whilst maintaining standards on the floor. This is first and foremost a hosting role, but there are also administration tasks involved.

There are many other aspects of the business to get involved in depending on your interests and skills and in the same time opportunity to develop professionally. We do a lot of our own importing, have a separate Italian wine company, a wine bar in the city center and a restaurant in London. We offer the possibility to do cross-trainings in London to gain knowledge of the differences in the hospitality in-between the two countries.

This roles involves mostly evening shifts, between 16:00 to 24:00, but daytime work can occur as well when the Restaurant Manager needs assistance with administration work.

Apart from that, the mother style is quite relaxed and casual. We work in English so Danish is not a requirement, although it can come in handy. We are a very popular lively place with a family team spirit. It’s hard work, but fun in the same time and we can promise you won’t be bored.

We are looking for a full-time experienced Chef with knowledge of Italian classic dishes, who likes working in a fast paced environment and can handle a lot of covers every day. You will work in an open kitchen, with a lot of sunlight and customer interaction, under the supervision of our Kitchen Manager.

Apart from the pizzas, which occupy a significant part of our menu card, during weekdays we are serving antipasti, bruschetta and special dishes of the day (main dish, pasta, salad, soup, vegetarian dish, etc.). We are looking for a responsible and creative chef who can design each day different dishes, based on the seasonable products, keep an eye on the food cost and quality control, stock checks, maintain a high level of hygiene and complete the mise en place for the evening service.

During weekends, as well as on Public Holidays, we do a very popular brunch from 11.00-15.00. We are preparing a selection of savory items, different roast vegetables, pasta, salads, couscous, sliced meats, cheeses and many-many more – we always have 10 different plates on the counter and they change regularly. It will be part of your job to execute these dishes as well as come up with new ones.

We are offering a full-time position with daytime working hours: either between 10:00 to 18:00, or 08:00 to 16:00, Monday to Sunday, alternating weekends off.

We are looking for a full-time experienced Pizza Chef, who likes working in a fast paced environment and can handle a lot of covers every day. You will work in an open kitchen, with a lot of sunlight and customer interaction, under the supervision of our Head Pizza Chef.

Our Neapolitan wood-fire pizza oven, placed centrally in the restaurant, is the main attraction for our customers and you will be in the ‘center’ of attention. We are serving, in average, around 3.500 customers per week, so having experience in a similar busy environment is a plus.

The main responsibilities include preparing the dough, mise en place, opening and baking the pizzas, maintaining our high level of hygiene, monitor food stock. We also serve antipasti, bruschetta and special dishes of the day, for which your colleagues from the kitchen department are responsible for.

Apart from that, the mother style is quite relaxed and casual. We work in English so Danish is not a requirement, although it can come in handy.
