Young, fresh and veeery gluggable. bright red with pure vibrant cherry fruit, like a cherry and almond pie. the lightness of this vintage makes this barbera very drinkable right now.
This Barbera presents the variety’s youthful spontaneous, easy-drinking properties in a very special way. The decision to only use steel gives it a flavoursome taste hinting at red currants and railway cherries. Smooth, but very noticeable tannins. Very good finish.
The freshness and acidity make this a very versatile food wine. think classic italian food – pasta with tomatoes and basil, a mother pizza with spicy n’duja and gorgonzola.
Very old school classic barbera = no wood = fruity fruity. the mara is named after the youngest family member of the Rivetti family, who also decorated the label.
